Shoot 3 finals

I may need to crop these photos too make sure the object itself isnt too obvious, like it is still in most of these images.

Detail of base of the bowl - Too obvious it's still a bowl?

Trying to show detail of rim but still too much of the bowl?

Detail? - Too much of the shadow focussed

Detail - too much of the rest of the fork shown

Detail - still too obvious

Detail - Too much of the glass still?

Form - Too obvious though?

Revised proposal 2!

We all know and are very familiar with our household items, especially ones we eat with. I want to explore using light two aspects of the object. Form through shadow and the curves of the object, and a certain detail of it. These separate photos on their own will show the object in a way we do not view the object normally, but together they wil reveal the object as a whole. I want to try show these objects in a different way to how we are used to.

Hdr Images

I created my own HDR effect through masking and blending changes. I quite like the look of it

Finals from Shoot 2

Plan for shoot two

I plan to just take more picture making sure I explore more light use. I have from the first shoot, pictures which highlight the function through shadow and low lighting. I was also experimenting with greyscale which I have decided to keep because it keeps the simplistic feel, highlights the form and shadow and gives a 'clean' feel to the photographs. It just works well with the aesthetic. I got stuck with different lighting choices but I went away and thought about it. I came up with help, trying to use a longer exposure or moving the light as I take the photo. Hopefully more will come to mind and I should be able to take more abstract forms from the objects.

Revised Proposal

I decided to make sure my proposal is simplistic and straight to the point and clear to the viewer, so they understand the proposal from what they see in the images.

I simply want to show through photographing 4 household objects and taking two pictures of each. Using light, playing with shadow and showing form I want to have the first photo of the object to show the function more clearly with light creating shadows or focussing more on the physical shape, and the second photo being more abstract and focussing on the form of the object and how it allures to the function or type of object..

Light exercise!

It was raining today and I could only draw four flowers :( I tried as you can see below but the flowers didn't turn out well when I did more than four. I should have drawn something else.

Shot 1 finals

Here I am looking at one type of lighting on a variety of objects. I just wanted to explore the shapes of the different objects first.
